Ross M. Miller

Ross Miller is Clinical Professor of Finance in the School of Business of University at Albany (SUNY). Previously, he was Senior Vice President and Director of Research at NatWest Markets, where he managed the development of new quantitative investment products. He founded General Electric's quantitative finance research group and led the quantitative risk management task force at GE Capital. He taught finance and economics at the University of Houston, the California Institute of Technology, and Boston University where he conducted research into the application of experimental economics to financial markets and in the development of the theoretical foundations of intelligent market systems ("smart markets"). He currently teaches finance at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Albany. He has written three books, Paving Wall Street, What Went Wrong at Enron (with Peter C. Fusaro), and Computer-Aided Financial Analysis, and over twenty articles. He received a B.S. in mathematics from the California Institute of Technology and an A.M. and a Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University.

Mary O'Keeffe

Mary O'Keeffe teaches public finance at Union College. Previously, she was Associate Professor of Public Policy at Harvard University, where she received the Manuel Carballo Prize for Excellence in Teaching and Public Service. She has also taught economics and public finance at the University of Houston, Caltech, and Harvard Law School.  She was honored to receive the Sliffe Award from the Mathematical Association of America in 2004. She received a US Presidential Scholar Teacher Recognition Award in 2007. She earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Bryn Mawr College summa cum laude. After receiving a National Science Foundation Fellowship, she earned a Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University, with mathematical economics and public finance as special fields.
